Fallout New Vegas Freezing Ps3

Fallout New Vegas Freezing Ps3

I have the 1.1 patch downloaded so it isn't the PSN messages doing it, and every five minutes it freezes for a little bit but sometimes it takes so lonskfdbsmnvjkfdmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmhnbjjjjjjjjjjsdkg that the only way to fix it is to reboot the PS3. Checked the disk and it's fine and nothing is downloading at the time (had that problem with Oblvion, downloading anything slowed the game down significanly). Only thing weird is that the game is still running because I can still hear GNR playing with any trouble, it's really weird.- 06:35, 29 January 2009 (UTC)See, this is why you get the 360 or the PC version. Not only are you having this freezing problem but you're also going to miss out on all the DLC until they make a GOTY edition (which they probably won't.) 06:44, 29 January 2009 (UTC) But I personally don't care about the DLC (plus my PC isn't good to play games on) all I care about is if they will have a patch to raise teh level cap and to continue the game after the end (without Broken Steel, just mainly to play after completing the game) - 06:36, 30 January 2009 (UTC)Nope. That's all in the DLC.

I love the fallout series and i love playing fallout new vegas. But everytime i start to play it, it will randomly lag and jump, and often freeze. And also, sometimes my in-game sound will skip like a scratched cd and the sound will become choppy and unsynced with the game. I dont know if its my ps3 or something with my HDMI cord but i really want it to stop. You should seriously consider getting a good PC to play games on. I don't know why you didn't just upgrade your computer instead of spending $400-600 on a PS3 so you could play the two good exclusive games and one interactive movie. 06:40, 30 January 2009 (UTC)I've played a lot of good games on the PS3 (my brother owns one and I live next to a game rental place). I didn't buy a PS3 because, like you said, I would rather have spent the money on upgrading my PC. The funny thing is, I spent about $350 on a brand new PC, which is way cheaper than a PS3.

It doesn't have a Blue-ray DVD player, but that's what a TV is for. 15:15, 30 January 2009 (UTC)Blu-Ray is a gimmick anyway.

I think it's a waste of money. 16:31, 30 January 2009 (UTC)Mind you that I am a what you call 'A Playstation Fanboy'. Yeah I started with a PS1 and i have not switched since.

A few more things to say to you condensending users. I do not have the money to upgrade my PC. When I got my PS3, it was a $600 system, traded in my PS2, a lot of games and i got it for the price that it's at now. That's a hell of a deal! Anyone, ANYONE who actually has the answer to my problem please get back ASAP. The freeze is teh most annoying thing ever, and if anyone has a solution other than buy a new PC or a 360 please tell me.

05:54, 2 February 2009 (UTC)I had the same problem on the PS3. Is it only Fallout 3 that freezes?

If you're other games/Blu-Rays are freezing too, it might be a sign that the thingy reading the disk is broken (a laser of some sort) In my game, it froze every time I tried to do something that made a noise (opening a container, speaking to someone) because the PS3 had trouble reading the disc, especially the audio files.I had it repaired, and there hasn't been a single freeze since then. 10:57, 8 February 2009 (UTC)Thanks for the idea, but all of my other games are just fine and there are no marks on the disk, so it isn't the PS3 or the disk. Maybe it's just the servers? I don't know, it's been running better lately (less freezes) so I think they just had a weird problem with the servers. 20:53, 8 February 2009 (UTC)Its bot. It is just Fallout 3, whether you are on PSN or not. There is no way to fix it, however my guess is that it is caused by the game world being that big.

10:52, June 14, 2010 (UTC)Try taking auto-save off, apparently it helps. I get this alot. I feel holding down the PS button helps.21:49, July 12, 2010 (UTC)Try to clear your PS3's cache, it worked on my Xbox, but i dont know if it will work or how to do it on the PS3, so try searching for it on Google. 14:49, July 19, 2010 (UTC)On PS3, try Rebuilding the file structure and hard drive database.1 )Back up your saves, this may cause you to format if you turn off your system2) Turn off your PS33) Plug a controller in via USB4) Hold the power button, you should hear three beeps and then the system will turn off again (to keep you from accidental accessing the restore menu).5) Hold the power button for four beeps, then immediately let go. The last two beeps are close together, so you will hear 'Beep. Beep Beep'Here is a video 17:38, August 22, 2010 (UTC).
